B Sai Sudharsan, Indian and Tamil Nadu batter, is back in Surrey ahead of the County Championship matches against Nottinghamshire and Lancashire. Prior to making his T20I debut for India in Harare the following month, Sudharsan had played for Surrey in their previous County Championship encounter, which took place against Essex at the Kia Oval in June.
Sudharsan will benefit greatly from the two County Championship games in front of the Duleep Trophy, which gets underway in Bengaluru and Anantapur on September 5. Sudharsan is a member of Team C, which Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead.
September 1st, following the away game at Trent Bridge, will mark the end of his county tenure. The two Tamil Nadu teams that are competing in the Buchi Babu competition right now in Coimbatore and Salem do not include Sudharsan.
In September 2023, he made two appearances for Surrey and, in his first season on the team, won the County Championship Division One title. With the Gujarat Titans, he maintained his ascent, becoming their leading scorer in the 2024 Indian Premier League after amassing 527 runs in 12 innings at a 47.90 average and 141.28 strike rate.
Surrey is aiming to win their third consecutive County Championship championship, and they are presently leading the Division One table. Sudharsan will look to play some impactful knocks and come into the Duleep trophy with runs under his belt, where he can well put forward his name for the India reckoning.
