A major Chelsea transfer rumor that delighted Blues supporters over the weekend has officially been dispelled by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
Since I didn’t see anything in this one at the time, I have to say that I had to giggle when I saw it come out.
Chelsea will always be involved in these rumors because they have spent a lot of money on new players since the new owners took over, and they will undoubtedly be keen to add more well-known players if the chance arises.
This one doesn’t really have much substance, though, because Chelsea’s new recruitment strategy is aimed at acquiring top young players before they become well-known and too costly to sign.
Romano has now validated those ideas.
MARCA claims that Vinicius Junior, who has been likened to Mykhailo Mudryk, is a target for both Chelsea and PSG. In the upcoming weeks, Real Madrid authorities will meet with his representatives to talk about his future.
However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano is dispelling any rumors that the Brazilian is leaving.
In his most recent YouTube video, Romano stated:
As of right now, it is completely unrealistic to associate Vinicius Junior with Manchester United, Chelsea, or PSG. There is nothing ongoing, although interest is normal.
I believe that while some Chelsea supporters may have been a little ecstatic upon hearing this news, the majority of us knew deep down that it contained absolutely nothing.
If Chelsea became available, I do have a suspicion that they would at least keep an eye on him, just like they would with any huge name like this.
However, there is absolutely nothing in this one at the moment.
