Ribhav Saroha Named No. 1 U-16 Player

Taking the top spot in the All India Under-16 tennis rankings at the age of 15 is a tremendous milestone for Chandigarh native Ribhav Saroha.  He is the first player to become No. 1 nationally in his category who was born and raised in Chandigarh, making this milestone historic.

Under the knowledgeable direction of Marco Seruca, a former Portuguese Davis Cup player and seasoned international coach at MS Star Tennis Academy, Ribhav’s path has been molded.  Marco, who is well-known for his thorough and exacting training regimens, has been important in Ribhav’s growth, assisting him in honing his technique, increasing his level of fitness, and strengthening his mental fortitude in addition to his strategic tournament play.

“I train for three hours in the morning and two in the evening on some days, and for five hours straight on others.  Ribhav revealed his unwavering commitment to the sport by saying, “It all depends on the schedule Marco sir plans for me.”

Ribhav’s potential was highlighted by Marco Seruca, an ITF-certified coach with decades of international experience: “He’s the kid who’s been with us the longest.”  I firmly think Ribhav has the potential to become one of India’s top players given the time and opportunity.

Ribhav attributes his development to Marco’s introduction of a European-style training schedule.  I’m overjoyed to have located Marco, sir.  With this training routine, I’ve noticed a noticeable improvement.  I’m hoping to keep up this form and move smoothly onto the men’s circuit in the near future,” he stated.

A loving family is the driving force behind this young athlete’s accomplishments.  Nagender and Dr. Saroj Saroha, his parents, have consistently shown support.  “We’ve seen how dedicated he is—training with passion every single day,” said Dr. Saroj Saroha.  At MS Star, he has discovered the ideal environment.
