(Football News) Real Madrid and Manchester City will go head to head at the Etihad Stadium for a place in the Champions League final. The tie is all square at 1-1 and Manchester City have the home advantage. Real Madrid have never won at the Etihad Stadium as they have lost 2 and drawn 2. Real Madrid have have a lot of experience playing these big games while City have the hunger to finally win a Champions League trophy. Inter Milan have already qualified for the finals after beating their arch rivals AC Milan. The general acceptance is that whoever wins this semi final will be the favorite to win the final in Istanbul.

Real Madrid have travelled to the Etihad with a fully fit squad. Eduardo Camavinga took a knock on his knee at the weekend against Getafe. However he has since taken part in training and should be fine to start according to Carlo Ancelotti. The biggest issue for Carlo Ancelotti is who to drop. One of Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, Fede Valverde and Rodrygo will be on the bench. A week ago Rudiger would’ve been the obvious choice to go on the bench but given his performance in the 1st leg where he locked up Erling Haaland it would be difficult to drop him.

Manchester City are only missing Nathan Ake due to injury. City have the home advantage but they will be very careful especially considering what happened last season. The English club will look to get a goal early and if they do then it is likely that Manchester City will keep on attacking. Real Madrid can’t let City control the tempo and in the 1st leg they showed that they can dominate possession against this City team. The tie is likely to have more than one goal from each side and whichever team defends better will go to the final.
