Real Madrid Scouts Modrić Replacements Post Exit

Since Luka Modrić will be leaving the team after the Club World Cup, “real madrid” is aggressively looking into ways to bolster their roster.

The Spanish powerhouses are reportedly investigating two Argentine midfielders as possible replacements: Chelsea’s Enzo Fernández and Bayer Leverkusen’s Exequiel Palacios, according to Cadena SER.

Xabi Alonso, who had previously worked with Palacios at the German club, suggested that the player be pursued.  However, Manchester City’s interest in Palacios could make a trade more difficult.

The 24-year-old Enzo Fernández has made 44 appearances for Chelsea this season, tallying seven goals and dishing out thirteen assists.

Palacios, 26, has played in 38 games for Bayer Leverkusen in the 2024–25 season, contributing one goal and six assists.
