(Football news) Real Madrid have are getting linked with almost every attacker available on the transfer market. The future of Karim Benzema is still not clear as there are contrasting reports every hour. If Karim Benzema does leave than Real Madrid will have to replace him with a world class striker like Harry Kane. Even if he does stay, they need someone to give the Frenchman competition. Roberto Firmino, Randal Kolo Muani and Joselu are some of the options that have been linked with Madrid. The newest player linked with Los Blancos is Chelsea striker Kai Havertz.
Real Madrid tried to sign Kai Havertz in 2020 but because of the covid pandemic it couldn’t be done and the player eventually joined Chelsea. Now Real Madrid are very interested in bringing him to the Bernabéu. Chelsea, according to reports, would only let him go for a strong financial offer. Kai Havertz would definitely be willing to join Real Madrid so personal terms shouldn’t be a problem. Chelsea are in a transition phase so it may be better for Havertz to leave and play elsewhere. His versatility works well as he can play as a striker, as a number 10 and on either flank. Havertz will be a good buy but not for too much money.
Havertz’s best position is still a mystery but at Real Madrid he will most probably have to switch between right wing and striker. The only issue with the signing is that Havertz may not be a guaranteed starter which may cause the German to reject the opportunity. With Marco Asensio leaving the club, Havertz will be a perfect replacement. Real Madrid have a lot of pacey players and Havertz brings something different on the table. It is still early doors and the deal will not materialize so quickly. A lot demands on what price tag Chelsea sets for him.
