This season, Marc Casado has already garnered a lot of praise, and Rafa Marquez was the most recent to provide his opinions on the Barcelona midfielder.
After seeing Casado excel in the starting lineup, Marquez, who was Barcelona Atletico’s manager at the time, has praised the midfielder’s skill and personality.
“His disposition, his morals, and his will to get better every day.” He has an extremely competitive and winning mindset. That’s what’s allowed him to do this. We must give Flick credit for recognizing that and choosing to retain him from the beginning,” he told Cadena SER.
“He has a strong desire to succeed, which is demonstrated by his emotional, competitive, and effusive nature. He would celebrate any game or victory.”
Marquez clarified where the midfielder can improve, but he also believes the 21-year-old can still get better.
He can still do a great deal better. He continued, “I believe his degree of confidence gives him the courage to do things we haven’t seen him do before.”
He never gives up. He is fiercely competitive. He is very upbeat when things don’t go his way. He truly is a leader.
His excitement causes him to get disoriented. He departs his comfort zone in an attempt to cover too much ground. They are progressively realizing that he has to be more situated.
Despite Frenkie de Jong and Gavi returning to fitness, Casado has made appearances in 11 of Barca’s 13 La Liga games this season, starting nine of them. He will be looking to stay in the starting lineup.
