(Cricket news) Fans are urged to #FillTheFurnace for the top-of-the-table clash, with a range of extra measures in place to keep the crowd cool including free sunscreen and drinking water, misting fans and extra shade at the Gates.

To beat the heat fans are urged to arrive early to avoid queues, bring a hat and refillable water bottle (no glass), and seek shade.

The second-placed Scorchers are vying to secure their spot in The Qualifier against the Heat on the Gold Coast, when hosting rights for The Final are up for grabs.

Jhye Richardson will miss the remainder of BBL|13 after pulling up sore following the Scorchers’ loss to Brisbane at the Gabba on Wednesday night.

Scans revealed a left side strain, with Cricket Australia to determine Richardson’s availability for the Dettol ODI Series against the West Indies in due course.

Zak Crawley has also finished his six-game stint with the Club, departing for a  training camp in Dubai with England’s Test squad.

Locals Sam Fanning, Cameron Gannon and Matt Kelly come into the extended side.
