FC Barcelona is scheduled to play their league comeback match today at Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium versus Getafe CF, headquartered in Madrid, after winning all six of their league games in the 2024–25 season.

Even though his squad has been producing excellent results, Flick’s injury issues continue to mount. After rupturing his patellar tendon during the match against Villarreal, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, the team’s captain and starting goalkeeper, became the most recent player to join a number of other key Barcelona players in the hospital.

Ter Stegen will therefore be absent for this encounter against Getafe CF, along with players like Ronald Araujo, Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Marc Bernal, Dani Olmo, Fermin Lopez, etc. Until another goalie is added to the team, Hansi Flick will have to rely on Inaki Pena for this match as well as a few more.
