NBA: Pacers snap the Bucks 10 game winning streak while Suns beat Magic 

Bucks maintain the best record in the league despite their loss while Suns snapped their 3 match losing streak

(Basketball news) The Milwaukee Bucks got their 10 match winning streak snapped against the Indiana Pacers who beat them 139-123. For the Pacers, Andrew Nembhard scored 24 points and Aaron Nesmith hit six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points as Buddy Hield scored 20 points and T.J. McConnell 19 points, while George HIll and Jordan Nwora added 15 and 12, respectively, against their former team.

Indiana shot 22 for 46 from 3-point distance, including 13 of 19 in the second half, and shot 56.5% despite playing without All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton, as well as guards Kendall Brown, Chris Duarte and Trevelin Queen. For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 25 points. Jrue Holiday added 19 and Khris Middleton finished with 16 points. Milwaukee still has the best record in the league with a record of  50-20.

“There was a good togetherness about us in the second half,” Nembhard said. “We put up a good fight, and showed good aggression. It was like we had nothing to lose in this moment. It was good for the team to do that and a big win for us.”

“They played well tonight, particularly in the second half.,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. “They made a lot of 3s, got out in transition. There were a lot of areas where we needed to be better, but a ton of credit to the Pacers tonight.

“It was not a great first half but that was really a special second half,” Carlisle said. “Just in terms of understanding how we needed to play and what it would take to have a chance to get a win here.

The Phoenix Suns snapped their 3 match losing streak against the Orlando Magic as they beat them 116-113. For the Suns, Devin Booker led the scoring with 19 points as Cameron Payne scored 18 points while Deandre Ayton and Chris Paul each had 16 points and Okogie finished with 15. The Suns made all 17 of their free throws as Josh Okogie made a go-ahead 3-pointer midway through the fourth quarter and blocked Paolo Banchero’s 3 in the final seconds.

For the Magic, Markelle Fultz scored 25 points, Banchero added 18 and Cole Anthony 17 as Franz Wagner had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Wendell Carter Jr. also scored 16 points. Kevin Durant missed his fourth straight game because of a sprained left ankle sustained in warmups but he was seen in light practice.

“Usually they’re going to foul,” Mosley said. “As soon as Franz caught it (outside the arc), they put two on him. Franz made the right play, pushed it over to Paolo and he almost had the good look. But (Okogie) made a heck of a play.”’

Okogie said the Suns were planning to foul. “I kind of read it and didn’t think it was a good situation to foul him. I anticipated the shot. Thank god I didn’t foul him.”
