For the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic had 29 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists for his 10th career playoff triple-double, breaking Wilt Chamberlain’s record for the most triple-doubles by a center in NBA history, while Jamal Murray added 19 points as Bruce Brown had 25 points from the bench as he shot 13 of 27 from long range.

For the Suns, Booker scored 28 points but missed 11 of 19 shots as Kevin Durant chipped in 26 points but also had an uncharacteristic five turnovers, which was decisive over the course of the game. The top-seeded Nuggets own the NBA’s best home record at 40-7 over the league but most importantly they are 6-0 in the playoffs at home but now they go to Phoenix with a chance to book a place in the Western Conference finals.

“To be honest, I just like to win the game, so whatever it takes,” said Jokic, who was coming off a career-best 53-point performance in Game 4.

The Philadelphia 76ers got a massive win against the Boston Celtics in game 5 as they beat them 115-103 to take the series lead 3-2. For the 76ers, Embiid scored 33 points while Tyrese Maxey added 30 points and six 3-pointers and James Harden finished with 17 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum led the scoring with 36 points but he was just 11 of 27 from the field as Jaylen Brown finished with 24 points.

The Celtics went 12 of 38 from the 3-point line which was the major reason they lost. The 76ers took over in the fourth quarter as they led by 19 points. Now the Philadelphia 76ers have the chance to take this series in game 6 which will be at home and qualify for their first NBA conference since 2001.

“It’s not over. We have to get one more,” Joel Embiid said. “All of us. We have to show up.”

“What we did tonight, it’s easier said than done. But we have to do it again,” Embiid said.

“You just have breathe through it and our guys did that,” Rivers said

“If you’re not willing to get dirty, if you’re not willing to pretty much bleed, if you’re not willing to break something…then you shouldn’t be on that court,” Celtics guard Marcus Smart said. “Because that’s what it is. That’s what the playoffs are about.”
