Mumbai, Aug 4 (Football News) Indian Super League franchise Mumbai City FC on Thursday announced the signing of Argentine centre-forward Jorge Pereyra Díaz.
Diaz has joined the 'Islanders' on a one-year deal until May 2023.
"I've only spent one season in India but there are only a few clubs which have the ambitions that Mumbai City do and I think it was on full display in the club's performances in Asia last season," Diaz was quoted as saying in a media release.
The club's head coach Des Buckingham termed Diaz a talented player and said that his experience of playing in the ISL will allow him to quickly settle down.
Ahead of the 2021/22 season, the 31-year-old arrived in India and signed for ISL side Kerala Blasters, impressing with eight goals and an assist on the way to the final.
