(Cricket News) Mohammed Siraj has been omitted from the squad for the upcoming second Test in Visakhapatnam, and Avesh Khan has been reinstated, according to a statement from the BCCI.
“The decision was made considering the duration of the series and the extensive cricket involvement of Mohammed Siraj in recent times,” stated the BCCI.
“He will be available for selection in the third Test in Rajkot.” Avesh Khan, initially released from the team before the first Test and directed to join his state team Madhya Pradesh for the Ranji Trophy, has now rejoined the national squad.
“Avesh Khan has rejoined the team for the 2nd Test.” India has implemented three changes in their playing XI, with Rajat Patidar making his Test debut in place of the injured KL Rahul, and Kuldeep Yadav replacing the injured Ravindra Jadeja. Mukesh Kumar is in for Mohammed Siraj. On the other hand, England has made a couple of changes from their last win, with off-spinner Shoaib Bashir making his debut in place of the injured Jack Leach, and James Anderson replacing Mark Wood.
