(Football) A 3-1 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium preceded Manchester United’s international break. The team led by Erik ten Hag now occupies the 11th spot in the standings after collecting six points from their four league games this year.

Lisandro Martinez was forced to leave the encounter against Arsenal last time out due to a foot injury; he travelled with the Argentina team for their most recent two games but did not participate in either. The defender is uncertain to play against Brighton as a result.

Luke Shaw was injured in the most recent loss to Tottenham Hotspur and won’t likely return to the pitch until the middle of next month. Shaw is an England international. Because of the injury he sustained in Man United’s two losses to Tottenham by a score of two, Mount has missed the team’s previous two games. 

However, there is a possibility that the Englishman will return for this game. Malacia is still out due to a muscle issue; the Netherlands international isn’t anticipated to return until the very end of next month at the earliest. Heaton had a calf injury in practice prior to the start of the new season, and the custodian is still out. Due to a preseason knee injury, Amad is still not available for selection; the Ivorian is most likely out till the beginning of next month.

Due to an ankle injury he picked up in preseason, Mainoo hasn’t been able to be selected. However, he’s made significant progress in his recuperation and has a slim chance of being included in this squad. The former France international picked up an injury during the most recent match against Nottingham Forest, and he will be out for a few more weeks.

Man United won’t be without any players due to suspension for this game, but Antony won’t be there as the forward is temporarily on leave to handle a personal matter.
