Manchester United on the verge of selling defender for £15m

Manchester

(Football news) After joining Man United from Crystal Palace in 2019, the 26-year-old has made 190 appearances for the team. He had a great first two seasons at Old Trafford. Though Wan-Bissaka’s suitability for the Red Devils has long been questioned, he has struggled to display his finest play over the last three campaigns.

Despite making 30 appearances in the previous campaign, the right-back was greatly helped by the team’s injury issues and probably wouldn’t have played as much had Tyrell Malacia or Luke Shaw been healthy. Wan-Bissaka’s future at Selhust Park has been suggested, and there have also been rumors that Barcelona is closely monitoring his circumstances at Old Trafford.

West Ham ‘nearing’ agreement for Wan-Bissaka

West Ham are now closing in on an agreement with Man United for the full-back. It is claimed that the Red Devils are looking for a fee of around £15m for Wan-Bissaka, and the Hammers are said to be prepared to meet that figure.

As a result, a deal could go through relatively quickly, with Wan-Bissaka’s final match for Man United potentially being Monday’s pre-season friendly against Rosenborg.

The Red Devils paid in excess of £50m to sign the defender from Palace five years ago, but his contract is due to expire next summer, and a new deal is unlikely.

Yoro ‘heads’ to England for Man United medical

Man United are seemingly closing in on their second signing of the summer, meanwhile, with Leny Yoro allegedly heading to England to undergo a medical with the Red Devils.

Ten Hag’s side have agreed a €62m (£52m) fee with Lille for the 18-year-old, who has also been heavily linked with Real Madrid.

Yoro is expected in Manchester on Wednesday to finalise personal terms and undergo a medical, with Man United potentially confirming the eye-catching signing in the near future.

A deal for Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt also remains on, while there could be further defensive exits before the end of the window, with Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire both thought to be available for transfer.
