Man Utd take on Omonia at home while Arsenal face Bodo/Glimt

(Football news) Manchester United will continue to ramp up the pressure on Real Sociedad in the Europa League Group E as they welcome Omonia to Old Trafford. The Red Devils edged out a close contest with a 3-2 in last week's fixture, but the visitors sure did give the 20-time English champions quite the scare. With a dismal start to the campaign, Man United are now firmly in the Champions League contention as they are sitting fifth in the Premier League table, while their six-points from three Europa League games is only good enough for second place in Group E.

The concern going into the match is that they have conceded nine goals from their last three games in all competitions, although defensive absentees have played a significant part in that. United have gone down to Atletico Madrid and Sociedad in their last two European home games as they have never lost three european matches at Old Trafford in a row. For Omonia, defeat to AEL marked a fourth loss from five away fixtures who have not won a European game on the road since 1987 when they defeated Shamrock Rovers. If Neil Lennon's side are to produce a seismic shock they will subsequently blow the Europa League Group E wide open against Man United but they must do what no other side from Cyprus has done before which is win an away game against an English club.

Manchester United possible starting lineup:

De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Shaw; McTominay, Eriksen; Antony, Fernandes, Rashford; Ronaldo

Omonia possible starting lineup:

Panagi; Miletic, Lang, Yuste; Matthews, Charalampous, Diskerud, Lecjaks; Loizou, Ansarifard, Bruno

Arsenal aim to continue their perfect start to proceedings in Europa League Group A when they travel to Norway to face Bodo/Glimt. The two sides met at the Emirates where the Gunners ran out 3-0 winners last week as it left Kjetil Knutsen's side battling with PSV Eindhoven for second place in the group. The Norwegian champions are level on points with PSV Eindhoven in third place in the Group but the Dutch outfit still have a game in hand and will be expected to beat FC Zurich later this week.

Talk of an unlikely Premier League title challenge is still very premature for Arsenal as their goal of going all the way in the Europa League is still well and truly alive after their failure in previous season as they now find themselves five points clear at the top of Group A if results go their way. With their five match winning streak in all competitions intact, Arsenal aim to score away from home in the Europa League for the 17th game running, and several players will aim to stake their claims for a starting role in the lineup.

Bodo/Glimt possible starting lineup:

Haikin; Sampsted, Moe, Lode, Wembangomo; Vetlesen, Berg, Saltnes; Mvuka, Espejord, Pellegrino

Arsenal possible starting lineup:

Turner; Cedric, Holding, Tomiyasu, Tierney; Xhaka, Lokonga; Marquinhos, Vieira, Nelson; Nketiah
