(Cricket news) Lucknow Super Giants defeated Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets to make it 3 wins in a row. LSG skipper KL Rahul had won the toss and elected to bowl first. DC made two changes as they brought in David Warner, Sarfaraz Khan and Anrich Nortje in place of Tim Seifert, Mandeep Singh and Khaleel Ahmed. LSG on the other hand replaced the out of form Manish Pandey with Krishnappa Gowtham.
Prithvi Shaw gave Delhi a magnificent start as he scored 61 off just 34 balls. He hit 9 fours and two sixes as his partner David Warner barely got the strike. Batting started becoming difficult as Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan had to go for a conservative approach. Pant scored an uncharacteristic 39 off 36 balls while Sarfaraz got 36 off 28 as Delhi managed to get just 149 in 20 overs. Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 2/22. Krishnappa Gowtham got the important wicket of Prithvi Shaw just at the right time. David Warner, having just come back after the Test series in Pakistan, struggled to attack which is not usually like him. It's only a matter of time before he starts firing again.
Lucknow's chase was anchored by Quinton de Kock who scored 80 off 52 balls with vital support from KL Rahul. Krunal Pandya and Ayush Badoni provided the finishing touch as they chased down the total in the last over. The game was dragged a little as DC bowlers kept things tight in the 2nd half. Anrich Nortje, who is just back from injury, was extremely rusty. He conceded 35 runs in 2.2 overs before being forced to go off because of bowling two beamers. Kuldeep Yadav picked 2 wickets while Lalit Yadav also got a scalp. Shardul Thakur also picked up a wicket and was very economical as he took the game till the last over.
