Lewandowski Shines in Return to Poland Squad

According to the reputable Polish publication Goal.pl, Robert Lewandowski, a striker for Barcelona, has made the decision to return to the Polish national team at the age of 36.  The legend’s return was made possible by Jan Urban taking over as head coach after a change in leadership.

Lewandowski reportedly consented to return unconditionally, even though the captaincy was still up in the air.  It is generally known that Robert’s earlier refusal to play for the national team was primarily due to his loss of the captain’s armband under former coach Michał Probierz. Lewandowski, who has a record 85 goals and an astounding 158 caps, is a true hero of Polish football.  He continues to be the most prolific scorer in Poland’s national team’s history.
