Adidas has introduced its first-ever trademark boot for Lamine Yamal, a promising Spanish talent who is 17 years old. From completing high school to competing at the highest level of European football at Uefa Euro 2024TM, Yamal had an incredible year, which is commemorated by the special F50 LY304 collection.
The boot, which was created in partnership with Yamal, has the kind of striking features and flair that have helped him win this year’s title of best player under 21 in Europe. In order to honor the community that has witnessed a bright youngster develop into a generational talent, Yamal chose pink, one of his favorite colors, as the primary color of the boot. The final three digits of his hometown postcode, “304,” in gold, have been used in place of the standard F50 logo on the outside of the boot.
“This year has been like a dream for me, and working with adidas on my first signature boot has been super cool,” Yamal stated in reference to his partnership with the clothing brand. I was thrilled to see how everything came together and to be able to give my own unique touch when they asked me to collaborate with the designers and help create it. Since I’m a player who enjoys adding flare to the field and pink is one of my favorite colors, it was crucial to me that the boots shine out. Of course, we also made sure to best reflect the 304. Wearing them on the field excites me.
Adidas held a unique photo session to commemorate the boots’ introduction, featuring Yamal in vibrant pink graduation gowns as he successfully completes an incredible 2024.
“When we talk about players who have their own signature Adidas boot, we’re looking at just a handful of names that have reached that level of ability and popularity,” stated Sam Handy, general manager of football at Adidas. Lamine’s extraordinary talent and his ability to win over followers worldwide in 2024 are demonstrated by the fact that he had one before even turning 18. Lamine’s early involvement in the design process was crucial to us, and the team thoroughly loved collaborating with him to produce a boot that not only looks fantastic but also captures his distinct personality.
The F50 LY304, which is designed for speed, is only available in Laceless. It has an adidas PRIMEKNIT lockdown collar, a thin, FIBERTOUCH upper, and an SPRINTWEB 3D texture that helps keep the ball near as you’re speeding across the field. The springy SPRINTFRAME 360 outsole is made for significant acceleration and is intended for solid ground pitches.
The Adidas F50 LY304 pack, of which there are only 304 pairs available globally, will go on sale on December 18 at a few Adidas retail locations and online at Adidas football men’s soccer shoes.
