Koundé Talks About His Intense Training Routine

Jules Kounde, a defender for Barcelona, has been discussing his training schedule and the reasons behind his frequent three-sessions a day.

Kounde has been seen going to the gym often, and manager Hansi Flick has already acknowledged that it’s difficult to convince the defender to relax.

Now, the Frenchman has shared why he puts in so much effort on and off the field.

He says “”I spend between three and a half to four hours training three times a day. After that, I follow the rules set down by the football world. He advised La Vanguardia to “take care of yourself, sleep well, and recover.”

“I used to only train twice, but now I train three times because I believe I can optimize and improve things.” Before and after the club’s training, I work out at home for 45 minutes. and under their guidance to avoid overburdening myself.

Despite being a career, football has always been a love of mine, dating back to my early years. And just as in life, things usually work out well if you put your heart and time into them.

“I was flying in the lower levels, but I was never a really good player. Because I put in a lot of effort, things have gone nicely for me.”

Hector Fort replaced Kounde in the starting lineup for the Catalan derby, while Kounde was rested against Espanyol on Sunday.

Koundé has underlined that striking a balance between rigorous physical fitness and appropriate recuperation is essential to succeeding in professional football. By working out several times a day, he makes sure that his strength and endurance remain at their peak. Sessions centered on strength, speed, agility, and tactical work are probably part of his regimen.

Koundé thinks that in addition to physical preparation, he may improve his mental focus by repeatedly being exposed to different scenarios and playing conditions, such as drills and match simulations. Particularly considering the tactical demands of a club like Barcelona, this helps Messi make better decisions and maintain his composure during actual games.
