The IPL 2025 Orange and Purple Cap leaderboards saw significant shifts following the clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Here’s where things stand after the game.

Orange Cap Standings

B Sai Sudharsan of Gujarat Titans continues to lead the Orange Cap race with 417 runs from eight innings, averaging 52.12 with a strike rate of 152.18.

However, Virat Kohli has surged to the second spot following back-to-back fifties. His latest knock—70 off 42 balls—takes his tally to 392 runs from nine matches.

Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow Super Giants, who was the leading run-scorer for much of the season, has now slipped to third with 377 runs. A dip in form has slowed his progress.

Mumbai Indians’ Suryakumar Yadav follows closely at No. 4 with 373 runs. He has been remarkably consistent, never failing completely, with scores of 29, 48, 27*, 67, 28, 40, 26, 68*, and 40*.

Not far behind are Jos Buttler (GT) and Yashasvi Jaiswal, both with 356 runs. Jaiswal, in particular, has found form recently, scoring 75, 51, 74, and 49 in his last four outings, bouncing back from a slow start to the season.

Purple Cap Standings

Gujarat Titans’ pacer Prasidh Krishna continues to hold the Purple Cap with 16 wickets from eight games. However, he now shares that number with RCB’s Josh Hazlewood, who claimed 4 for 33 against RR. Hazlewood is placed second due to a slightly higher economy rate and average.

Just behind them is a tightly packed group of seven bowlers tied with 12 wickets each. RCB’s Krunal Pandya became the latest to join this club with a 2 for 31 performance against RR.

The others include R Sai Kishore and Mohammed Siraj (GT), Noor Ahmad (CSK), Kuldeep Yadav (DC), Hardik Pandya (MI), and Shardul Thakur (LSG). Among
