Mexico City  Fans are shocked by FIFA’s latest decision to exclude León from the 2025 Club World Cup.  However, attention turns to James Rodríguez, a Colombian sensation who joined the Esmeraldas in the hopes of showing off his skills on this esteemed global platform.

For Rodríguez, coming to León has been a life-changing experience.  In addition to garnering a lot of media attention, the midfield player improved the team’s performance and helped them go 10 games without losing during the Clausura 2025.  He has had a noticeable impact on the team, giving them hope for success in the forthcoming competition.
