(Cricket News) Former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja has criticized the Indian team management for their perceived unfair treatment of Ishan Kishan, who was rested for the last two T20Is.

Jadeja expressed his discontent on Sports Tak, questioning the decision to rest Ishan Kishan after just three matches in a series that followed the World Cup. He questioned whether Kishan, who didn’t play extensively in the World Cup, genuinely needed rest after such a short stint.

Highlighting Kishan’s notable achievements, Jadeja emphasized the batsman’s deserving spot in the playing XI for the initial World Cup matches. He also pointed out Kishan’s absence from the entire five-match T20I series against Australia, raising concerns about how such sporadic opportunities would hinder his full readiness.

Despite Kishan’s limited chances, the 25-year-old has been a consistent member of the team. Off-spinner R Ashwin acknowledged Kishan’s selfless attitude, praising him for his positive impact on the team’s dynamics.

Looking ahead, Kishan has been named in the T20I and Tests squad for India’s upcoming tour to South Africa.
