(Cricket news) India Women and Australia Women gear up for the 5th and final T20I at CCI. The Aussies have already sealed the series 3-1 but India will be looking to end it on a positive note. Despite the result, India Women have not played too badly in this series. The women in blue just need a few more things to tick and they will be a strong side going into the T20 World Cup next year. Australia have been too good for them which is understandable as they are one of the most dominant cricket teams of all time.
India Women’s possible playing XI:
Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, Devika Vaidya, Harleen Deol, Radha Yadav, Anjali Sarvani, Renuka Singh Thakur
Bench: Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Yastika Bhatia, S Meghana, Meghna Singh
India women played an extra batter in the last game which didn’t win them the game but neither did it affect their bowling too much. India will be looking to finish off the series with a win and they are likely to retain the same XI. Renuka Singh Thakur will be under a little bit of pressure as after so much success in the recent past she has had an underwhelming tour. Jemimah Rodrigues is also in a similar position as her willow hasn’t done much talking in this series.
Australia Women’s possible playing XI:
Alyssa Healy, Beth Mooney, Ellyse Perry, Tahlia McGrath, Ashleigh Gardner, Phoebe Litchfield, Annabel Sutherland, Nicola Carey, Kim Garth, Amanda Wellington, Heather Graham
Bench: Darcie Brown, Grace Harris, Alana King, Megan Schutt
Australia have already sealed the series and they will be looking to ring in some changes to give bench players an opportunity. This is the first tour for Kim Garth and Phoebe Litchfield with the Australian team so the management will be keen for them to play another match. Australia will definitely not be too relaxed as they will want to seal the series 4-1 which is much more dominant than a 3-2.
