India Clinches Series with Back-to-Back Super Overs Against Afghanistan

(Cricket News) In a thrilling match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, India won only in the second super over after Ravi Bishnoi helped the hosts defend 11 by getting rid of Mohammad Nabi and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.

Afghanistan tied the score off the final ball to force a super over, and Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran both scored fifty runs for the visitors. Earlier, Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh’s 190-run partnership had lifted India to a massive 212/4. India struggled at 22/4 before the pair came together, and both paced the innings flawlessly.

After two ducks in the series, Rohit started off scratchy again, but as the innings went on, the Indian captain found his mojo and displayed full range. Rinku, on the other end, also played a crucial hand and complimented the skipper well. Rohit became the only international player to reach the fifth T20I 100 in the process.
