Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory has given many National-level football players, however the pace had ultimately slowed down.
Nevertheless, the emergence of football clubs from the Jammu & Kashmir, especially in the Kashmir region has produced many talented footballers, who played for Kashmir in India's national level football leagues.
Pertinently, the I-League 2nd Division tournament will offer a platform to all those clubs to display their talent and potential at the national level.
The downtown based football club, Hyderya Sports serves as the torch bearer for the development of football in Sher-I-Khass area in the city of Srinagar.
Chairman of the Hyderya Sports, Mr. Feroz Hussain, while divulging the details about achievements and preparedness of the football club, revealed that the club is preparing to participate in the I-League 2nd Division and that such an important league will boost their morale to take part in international level tournaments.
Hyderya Sports assured that every possible step will be taken for the development of football so that our youth will choose sports instead of drugs, he added.
