(Cricket News) The 2022 IPL champion and 2023 runner-up Gujarat Titans had a good auction, bringing in a number of important players. The Titans, who captained Shubman Gill in place of Hardik Pandya following thelatter’s trade deal with the Mumbai Indians, spent the most money on Australian left-arm pacer Spencer Johnson (Rs. 10 crore).
They also managed to bring in Afghanistan pace-bowling all-rounder
Azmatullah Omarzai, potentially to replace Pandya. The Ahmedabad-based team also added young Indian pacer Kartik Tyagi for just Rs. 60 lakh, and experienced Umesh Yadav (Rs. 5.80 crore) reinforces the side’s pace unit. The middle-order batsman Shahrukh Khan was signed for Rs. 7.40 crore, further solidifying an already robust batting order.
