Casademy to launch 50+ basketball centres across the country in the next three years
Hyderabad, November 22, 2024: Hyderabad-based Sportzprix, a sports coaching, talent grooming, and education start-up, has launched Casademy, India’s first professional and comprehensive grassroots coaching program. In a groundbreaking move, Casademy has partnered with one of Europe’s most renowned basketball clubs, Movistar Estudiantes, to revolutionise basketball coaching in India. Together, they aim to nurture young talent and elevate the standards of sports training across the nation.
This partnership will leverage Casademy’s extensive grassroots coaching abilities and Movistar Estudiantes’ decades of expertise in basketball talent development. By working jointly, they will create elite centres for aspiring players to access world-class resources and mentorship while contributing to a booming basketball ecosystem in India.
Furthermore, Movistar Estudiantes will bring its championship-winning curriculum, senior coaches, and clinics to Casademy’s programs, while select students may train at the Estudiantes Academy in Madrid through an exchange program. Casademy will launch grassroots coaching centres in gated communities and schools by January 2025 and establish Advanced Centres of Excellence in major cities for high-level training. Talent hunts, trials, and support from nutritionists, sports psychologists, and conditioning coaches will identify and develop promising players.
Prasad Mangipudi, Founder of Sportzprix and Casademy, emphasized the importance of the collaboration, stating: “Casademy was created by Sportzprix to provide expert coaching through curricula designed by sports legends, with the goal of nurturing future champions. Our partnership with Movistar Estudiantes, one of Europe’s most prestigious basketball clubs, perfectly aligns with this vision. Estudiantes’ commitment to training future stars complements Casademy’s mission to develop talent. With the Basketball Federation of India introducing the Pro League, the timing couldn’t be better. Over the next three years, we aim to establish over 50 centres across India, shaping the next generation of basketball talent and contributing to the country’s evolving basketball ecosystem.”
Miguel Ortega, Director of Operations, Movistar Estudiantes underlined his excitement about the association, stating: “The collaboration between Movistar Estudiantes and Casademy is a great opportunity for us to expand our methodology in one of the biggest and most exciting territories in the world, India. Casademy’s experience in grassroots coaching across multiple sports makes them an ideal partner as we work together to grow basketball and build a community for the sport.”
With basketball joining Casademy’s roster, which already includes cricket, table tennis, and badminton, the brand continues to redefine sports coaching in India.
