(Football news) Gabri Veiga has been in the news for a while now as plenty of clubs are interested in his services. At the age of 20 he is a bright young prospect for the future. According to reports, Real Madrid’s primary target in the summer is Jude Bellingham while Gabri Veiga is the backup. His release clause is set at €40M which is a bargain for someone who is wanted by so many top clubs. It is highly likely that the player will leave Celta Vigo in the summer to play for a top European club. The president of Celta Vigo has been very vocal about the interest from other clubs about Gabri Veiga.

When it comes to Real Madrid, Gabri Veiga will be a relatively cheap alternative to strengthen their midfield. Real Madrid this season were heavily criticised for fielding a team with no Spanish players for the first time in history. Real Madrid have a lot of players who are great for the present and future but none of them are Spanish. Veiga being a young Spaniard fits into Real Madrid’s plans perfectly. However if they get their hands on Bellingham it is highly unlikely that they go for Gabri Veiga as there are other areas of the pitch which need reinforcements.  

Real Madrid may be reluctant to match the financial offers from the Premier League so it will all depend on how serious Real Madrid are and then it will be up to Gabri Veiga’s own will. This season Veiga already has 9 goals and 3 assists as Celta Vigo are 10th on the La Liga table. His destination will definitely be up to him as financially all the clubs interested in him will be able to buy him.
