(Motorsport) Scuderia Ferrari have confirmed that Fred Vasseur has joined the team as team principal, leaving Alfa Romeo after six seasons. He will replace Mattia Binotto, who resigned in November after the team fell short of expectations in the 2022 season, suffering from strategy and reliability issues throughout the year. Vasseur guided Alfa Romeo to sixth place in the Formula 1 Constructors Standings, which was their best ever finish in a decade. He has also been team principal of Renault in 2016 and the expectation at Formula 1’s most successful team would be to win titles.
