France come back from a two goal deficit against Belgium to book a place in the UEFA Nations League final

(Football) France defeated Belgium by 3-2 in the UEFA Nations League Semi Final. Belgium were leading by 2 goals at half time but couldn't manage to hold the incredible French attack.

Didier Deschamps started his side with a 3 at the back formation to compensate for N'golo Kante's absence. Roberto Martinez set out his regular 3-4-3 formation. Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard were given the freedom of movement. Unlike the 1st Semi Final the game had a very cagey start with both teams defending well. Kevin De Bruyne had one shot on target which forced Hugo Lloris into an excellent save.

The game blew wide open when Yannick Carrasco broke the deadlock by wrong footing Lloris with a near post finish. Romelu Lukaku doubled the lead just before halftime with a wonder goal. France came out in the 2nd half with more intent and a very high press tactic which was working wonders. After some missed chances, Karim Benzema pulled one back in the 62nd by getting a shot away through 3 Belgian defenders.

France continued to attack and got their equaliser when Antoine Griezmann won a penalty for Kylian Mbappe to score. Both teams were attacking to try and win the game in normal time. Romelu Lukaku looked to have won the game in the 87th minute but VAR intervened and ruled it out for a marginal offside call. Theo Hernandez then scored his first international goal to win it for France in injury time.

Belgium went very defensive and negative in the 2nd half trying to soak up the pressure. But the French attack was too good to not score two goals with so much possession.  France will now play Spain for the Nations League title while Belgium will play Italy in the 3rd place match.
