(Football news) Reliable reports in France all suggest that there are going to be major changes at PSG. Director Leonardo is going to be replaced by Luis Campos while manager Mauricio Pochettino is also set to be sacked. Kylian Mbappe while signing his new deal was given the right to have his say on important decisions at the club including manager choice and approval of signings. The first manager to be linked with the club was Zinedine Zidane who has reportedly rejected all advances. The deal was always going to be difficult considering Zidane's history with Marseille and Real Madrid.
Antonio Conte was on the list for a long time but he now looks set to continue with Tottenham Hotspur. There are several reports of Jose Mourinho which are quite interesting. Mourinho is a proven winner and given his track record he is definitely the man to take PSG to European glory. His recent success with AS Roma is proof that he still has what it takes to deliver success at the highest level. From PSG's point of view he would be a perfect candidate as he will bring a defined culture in the club. His attitude may cause problems at the club but it won't matter if he is successful.
Mourinho has already stated publicly that he wants to continue at AS Roma and further build the project at the club. That was before the interest from PSG emerged but it will still be difficult for PSG to convince Mourinho. The Portuguese manager will definitely want full control of the decisions. The recent reports of Mbappe having control over club matters is a big indication that Mourinho wouldn't go anywhere near the PSG job. For him to consider the offer he will need certain promises at the club which may be difficult for PSG to execute.
Current Nice manager Christophe Galtier is another candidate for the job. The Frenchman has previously worked with Campos during a successful period at Lille. He isn't a typical big name signing but could do the job in Paris. PSG have gone for big names in the past and they haven't necessarily worked out. Hiring a French manager with league experience could work in their favour. PSG need more than just a good manager to win the UCL. The major change will have to be in the culture of the club.
