(Football news) Jude Bellingham is probably the most sought after player in the world. He has taken the Bundesliga and the Champions League by storm since coming to Borussia Dortmund. Now at the age of 19 he has two and a half years left on his current contract. According to multiple reports the Englishman is keen on a transfer to a big club and is studying his options. Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all interested in the midfielder. BVB CEO Watzke said “After Qatar, we’ll have a discussion about what Jude actually wants. He should just tell us whether he wants to stay or leave. If the really big clubs are involved, then we can’t afford to have a fight financially”.
This is a clear indication that Bellingham is likely to leave in the summer and that too for a big transfer fee. Real Madrid is the only non-English club that is interested in him and not many English players like to play abroad for a long time. Bellingham has been playing in Germany for over 2 years now and it wouldn't be a surprise if he wanted to play in the Premier League. But Real Madrid will definitely be very hard to say no to. Financial things aren't like they used to be as the English clubs can now match or even better Real Madrid's contract offers. One thing is for certain that the decision will be Bellingham's alone and the only thing up to BVB will be the amount of his transfer fee.
Bellingham is a generational talent who at the age of 19 is already up there with the best midfielders in the world. Paying as much as €150M for him is likely to be a bargain as he is already so experienced and established. 10 years ago going to Real Madrid at the age of 19 was considered a huge risk but now with the way Los Blancos backs young players and nurtures them, Madrid could be the perfect destination for him. The only thing standing in the middle could be the desire to go back to his home country and play in the best league in the world. Afterall he is only 19 and could go to Madrid later on in his career.
