(Football news) Vinicius Jr is arguably the most improved player in Europe this season. The Brazilian has scored 12 goals and 4 assists in La Liga and Champions League this season. Vinicius has scored some outrageous goals and produced incredible skills and assists in 2021/22. Majority of these have been very crucial in Real Madrid's dominance in La Liga. 

To put into perspective how much of an improvement that is, Vinicius has scored 3 goals in each of the last two seasons. The Brazilian came to Real Madrid at the age of 18 and no one can deny that the talent could be seen immediately. Within no time was he burdened with the responsibility to make things happen in what was a struggling season for Real Madrid. A teenager to be the main man especially in a club like Real Madrid is never the right way to go. Things took a turn when his lack of end product started getting highlighted.

In an ideal world Vinicius should've been 2nd choice behind Eden Hazard but the Belgian's fitness issues forced Zidane to go with Vinicius. He was always good with his dribbling and electric burst of pace but would often pass when he should've shot and shot when he should've passed. When he did make the right decision it lacked accuracy. When Ancelotti came in he emphasized on the fact that Vinicius needs to be clinical in the final third and asked him to shoot within 2-3 touches instead of messing around.

The winger came off the bench in the first two league games and scored 3 goals in just 55 minutes matching his tally for each of the last two full seasons. Ancelotti had no option other than starting him ahead of Hazard. The former Chelsea winger had to adapt to the right hand side and continues to do so. Vinicius has made himself undroppable on the left wing starting almost every game. Along with Karim Benzema, the Brazilian has formed the deadliest attacking duo in European football.

One factor for the rise in form is definitely the confidence after scoring 3 times coming off the bench. He has bettered his decision making which should be credited a little to Carlo Ancelotti and his training. Vinicius is also more and more careful about his pace. He now knows when to step onto the gas and when to not. He often finds the perfect moment when the opposition right back is isolated to take him on and is rarely unsuccessful in beating his man. He has improved his shooting technique to get more accuracy and the right amount of power.
 
He is still just 21 years old and has a bright future ahead of him. He is still the player who earns the lowest wages in the current Real Madrid squad. Reports suggest that the club is working on giving the young sensation a new deal. Vinicius Jr bleeds Madridismo and is hence a fan favorite at the Bernabeu.
