Serie A: Milan take on Atalanta, Napoli face their first real test as Juventus take on Torino in the Turin Derby

(Football news) The Serie A race is getting interesting and as of now 4 teams are competing for the top spot, with Juventus showing their recent resurgence, the Serie A title scrap will get even more interesting. Napoli have a 100% record but will face their first proper test against Fiorentina in match week 7, so the likes of AC Milan, Inter Milan and AS Roma can take advantage of this situation.

AC Milan take on Atalanta in a tough fixture away from home, Stefan Poli’s side will be hoping to bounce back after the midweek loss to Atletico Madrid. AC Milan will be without Zlatan yet again and Giroud might be on the bench as Poli will continue to show faith in these youngsters who have been exceptional this season. For Atalanta they will be high on confidence after beating Young Boys in their Champions League match as their league form hasn’t transcended that much as they lie 7th in the table.

Juventus take on Torino in the Turin Derby as Allegri’s side will be high on confidence after getting a huge victory over Chelsea in the Champions League. Ater a terrible start to the season, Juventus have finally found their mojo as they have won 3 successive matches. The only concern going into the match for the ‘Old Lady’ will be the injuries to Dybala and Morata as they both suffered muscle injuries. These injuries would mean that a lot of onus will be on Chiesa to perform and score goals.

Inter Milan take on Sassuolo in what could be a tricky fixture for the former champions. Inzaghi’s would be hoping for a better performance this week after back to back draws against Atalanta and Shakhtar Donetsk. Inter will head into the match with most of his first teamers barring Stefano Sensi who could be out for a long time. This season, Inter have scored 20 goals for the first time since the turn of the century. Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez will again be the key players for Inter

Napoli face off Fiorentina in what could be their first proper test of the season, Spalletti will be left disappointed after losing to Spartak Moscow in the Europa League as his side will hope to bounce back in the league. Napoli made a lot of changes to their lineup to keep the side fit for the weekend fixture. Napoli need to neutralise the threat of Dusan Vlahovic as the defence will have a tough task ahead.

AS Roma take on Empoli as Jose Mourinho will be hoping to leave the disappointment of last week's derby loss to Lazio. Roma won their Conference league match against Zorya Luhansk 3-0, Mourinho would be hoping that this performance instills a renewed confidence in the side. Mourinho too made a lot of changes midweek to keep his side fresh for the weekend fixtures. Tammy Abraham and Pelligrini will be the key players to watch out for.
