Sergio Ramos to make emotional return to the Santiago Bernabeu in the UCL Round of 16

(Football news) Real Madrid were pitted against PSG in the UCL round of 16 draw. The two legged tie will see former Barcelona players Neymar Jr and Lionel Messi return to what will definitely be a hostile Santiago Bernabeu. Madrid will also welcome back former players Keylor Navas, Achraf Hakimi and Angel Di Maria.

The big one will be the return of Los Blancos legend and former captain Sergio Ramos. It will not be easy for Real Madrid fans to watch their beloved 'El Capitan' play against them. It will be even more difficult for Ramos himself who said in an interview that he wished that they would've drawn some other team but will be fully committed to take PSG to the quarter-finals.

Ramos left Real Madrid after 16 years at the club despite him wanting to stay. An emotional Ramos said that his departure was not a goodbye but a 'see you later'. The stature of Sergio Ramos at Real Madrid is second to none. He came to Madrid as a teenager and left as one of the best captains and defenders in football history.

Ramos has made only 1 appearance for PSG this season after being troubled by injuries. His ability to turn up and put in performances in big matches is the reason PSG brought him. Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping to have Ramos fit for the Madrid clash. The Spaniard has played against Real Madrid for Sevilla, even scoring a goal in the fixture, but this was before his move to the capital. It will be every Madridista's worst nightmare if Ramos finds the net again against his former club.

Kylian Mbappe will be playing against his dream club after the failed transfer in August. Mbappe is legally allowed to agree a pre-contract with any other team in January as his PSG contract expires in July. Therefore, Mbappe could have already agreed to play for Real Madrid next season when he faces them in February.
