(Football news) Ronald Koeman is a man under immense pressure and his job doesn’t get easier as he faces the former champions Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid will look to brush off their embarrassing defeat to Sheriff by winning and staying on top of the table.

Barcelona take on Atletico Madrid in what could be a make or break match for Ronald Koeman, if he loses then he’ll probably get the sack. After the disappointing result against Benfica, Koemen needs to perform a miracle to get a result against the in-form Atletico Madrid, but the task at hand will be even more difficult as Jordi Alba, Sergio Aguero and  Martin Braithwate will be out of the game. Koeman may have to start Ansu Fati who came back after a long term injury. On the other hand, Atleti will be happy after winning a tough match against AC Milan midweek as both their talisman Griezmann and Luis Suarez were on the score sheet. Grezimann will most likely make his 400th league appearances against the club that let him go this summer. Heading into the match, Atleti are clear favourites to win the match but you never Barca under pressure might just produce their best performance this season.

Real Madrid take on Espanyol as Ancelotti will be hoping to brush off their disappointing week they had. They’ll need to put those results behind and focus on winning their fixture against a struggling Espanyol before they head for the international break. Real will be without Carvajal which means Nacho will have to play right back as David Alaba can slot into centre back. Real fans will again rely on Benzema and Vinicius Jr to perform and help take the team out of the mini crisis they are in.

Real Sociedad will take on Getafe in a match which could see them reach the top of the table. Sociedad are the surprise package this season as they have got 17 points from 7 matches. Real Sociedad drew against Monaco in the Europa league midweek as the coach had rested a lot of the first teamers. Alexander Isak will be hoping to score his first goal this season as he will be one of the key players going forward if they are to challenge for the La Liga crown.
