Gleison Bremer is set to join Juventus for €45million

(Football news) Juventus are about to purchase a player from their cross-town rivals Torino for the first time in nearly a decade and Gleison Bremer has to fly to Austria where pre season training is being held rather than make the short drive across city for his medical The former Torino captain will be more than happy to jet over to Austria to join the Juventus squad as Mathijs De Ligt’s replacement. The newest man at the heart of the Juventus defense will officially be back in Turin. Although this time it’s with the black and white side of town rather than to wear the granata.

Bremer is set to do his medical on Wednesday morning as he said hello and signed a few autographs for his newest fans and headed to undergo his medical exams before completing his move to Juve. The Old Lady are expected to pay a fee of around €40 million plus add-ons, a substantial fee compared to what arch-rival Inter Milan had been willing to pay all along. On top of that, it has been reported that Bremer will earn €5 million net per season, which is nearly double that of the €3 million salary he had agreed months ago with the Nerazzurri. The move is a rather unexpected one as he was very close to Inter Milan but ultimately chose Juventus

Bremer was pretty much assumed to be going to Inter since the last few weeks and all Inter needed to do was have the first domino fall with Milan Skriniar’s rumored move to Paris Saint-Germain go through, giving Beppe Marotta and Co. the much needed cash influx they need to close the deal with Torino. That never happened as Skriniar is still an Inter player and that delay allowed Juventus to come up with a lucrative offer. The Serie A defender of the year is just 25 years old and Juventus had their eye on several options with the likes of Villarreal's Pau Torres, Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina and Arsenal defender Gabriel among the candidates to replace De Ligt. However, they moved for Bremer who made the move to Torino from Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro in 2018 and has since made 110 appearances in all competitions for the club.
