(Football news) Real Madrid has just completed an incredible season in which they clinched their 35th La Liga and 14 UCL. At the celebration party, a lot of Madrid players said something to the fans on the microphone. The most interesting speech was from Eden Hazard who said "These have been three difficult years but next year I will give everything for you guys!". His teammates gathered around him and started jumping in jubilation. Reports have already disclosed that the Belgian has no intentions of leaving Madrid this summer as he wants to prove himself at the Bernabéu.
Eden Hazard was one of the best players in the world when he was at Chelsea. The Belgian never suffered long term injuries, despite being the most fouled player in Europe consistently. In 2019, Hazard secured a big money move to his dream club Real Madrid. Since then he has made only 66 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos after suffering a total of 14 injuries since he arrived in the Spanish capital. The beginning of the crisis was when Hazard turned up overweight on his arrival in Madrid after his transfer. Since then, the winger has been troubled by constant injuries which has made it impossible for him to get regular game time.
Vinicius Jr reaching his full potential and becoming undroppable has resulted in Hazard not getting any games on the right wing. He has been behind Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, Fede Valverde and Marco Asensio in the pecking order. The Belgian has been an unused substitute for the majority of the season but he still hasn't given up on his Real Madrid dream. Hazard has been confident enough to publically make those comments which is a good sign. Real Madrid paid a lot of money to Chelsea for Hazard's services and after the UCL win they owe Chelsea some more money due to a bonus clause.
The whole Kylian Mbappe saga means that there is a spot open in Real Madrid at the right wing, even though Hazard's preferred position is on the left. Real Madrid may look to sign a right winger in the summer but if not, Eden Hazard could be given another opportunity. He has recently undergone a surgery to remove the metal plates out of his ankle. The surgery has made him 100% fit again which could be the turning point next season. When Hazard was fit at the start of the season he gave a few very good performances. If he can maintain his fitness next season, things could turn around for the better and both the player and the club will be hoping that's the case. Despite the fact that Hazard has not reached his full potential, Real Madrid fans adore him for his attitude and professionalism.
