(Football news) After their scrappy win over Almeria, Real Madrid will now travel to Celta Vigo. Casemiro's departure has been made official which means that he will not be a part of the squad. Toni Kroos is also out of contention due to flu along with Alvaro Odriozola and Rodrygo who have muscle injuries. Carlo Ancelotti is expected to make quite a few changes to the side that played last week. The two new signings Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antonio Rudiger had a tough time last time out and it will be interesting to see if they keep their place in the starting XI. Los Blancos found it very difficult to break down the Almeria defence after going a goal down last week. Celta will be trying to make it even more difficult especially after giving away a 2 goal lead last week to draw against Espanyol.
Atlético Madrid destroyed Getafe 3-0 away from home and Diego Simeone will now prepare to welcome Unai Emery's Villarreal to the Wanda Metropolitan. The Rojiblancos have a fully fit squad which looks very settled after pre-season and a good opening game. Villarreal on the other hand are still missing Manuel Trigueros. Atleti are the dark horses in the La Liga this season. They showed in the opening game that they have the ability to challenge for the title and get the better of any team in the world. They have good depth in their squad and may still do some activity in the transfer window.
Barcelona played out a disappointing draw against Rayo Vallecano last week. They now travel away to Real Sociedad in search of their first win of the season. The Blaugrana will be without their captain Sergio Busquets who is suspended after being sent off last week. Pedri was also taken off in the 72nd minute due to an injury but the Spaniard should be fine to start the game. Real Sociedad on the other hand will be without Mikel Oyarzabal, Diego Rico, Alex Sola, Carlos Hernandez and Martin Merquelanz
