Ex-Bayern Star: Win Serie A & UCL!

Inter Milan is committed to winning both the Serie A championship and the Champions League this season, according to defender Benjamin Pavard, who has shown a great belief in their two goals.

In a recent interview with an Italian station, Pavard emphasized the club’s aim to win both renowned championships and refused to choose a favorite.

With a two-leg round of sixteen matchup against Feyenoord scheduled for next month, Inter will have a formidable obstacle in the Champions League.  Giants lie Bayern Munich and Barcelona are among the team’s formidable opponents that could emerge in the latter stages.

But now the focus is on Serie A as Inter gets ready for a pivotal match against Genoa tomorrow night and a high-stakes matchup with Napoli for the top spot the following weekend.  Due to Inter losing crucial points in February, the fight at the top has gotten more intense in the race for the Scudetto.

“We play to win,” Pavard said bluntly, indicating that Inter’s goals are unquestionable.  “And winning everything is what we desire.  We can definitely win every tournament we enter, in my opinion.  He wisely said, “Both!” when asked to pick between winning the Champions League and the Serie A championship.

“It’s not easy to confirm your place at the top, as football is tough,” he said, acknowledging the difficulties of keeping them at the top of Serie A.  All we have to do is concentrate on ourselves.  The Frenchman emphasized the value of a match-by-match strategy in response to Inter’s struggles to win against direct opponents.  “If we want to go all the way and win the Scudetto, our focus must remain on winning the next match.”

Pavard emphasized the pressure Napoli is currently facing as the title competition heats up.  “They have more pressure,” he said.  “Everyone wants to defeat us now because we won the championship the previous season.  We are used to playing in matches with a lot of pressure, yet they now sit atop the standings.”
