England level 5-match series 1-1 after defeating India by an innings and 76 runs

(Cricket news) It was a Test match to forget for the Indian cricket team as they lost by an innings and 76 runs against England after being bowled out for 278 runs in the second innings. With this result, England levelled the five match series 1-1.

After resuming play at an overnight score of 215 for 2, England’s Ollie Robinson claimed five wickets as India’s innings ended in 99.3 overs. India were earlier bowled out for 78 in their first innings of the Test. England responded strongly, registering a scoreline of 432 runs with a lead of 354.

Joe Root and Co. will be happy with their performances, particularly after the disappointment at Lord’s where India defeated England by 151 runs in the second Test. The fourth Test will now be played at The Oval from September 2nd.

Brief Scores: India 78 all out and 278 allout in 99.3 overs (Cheteshwar Pujara 91, Ollie Robinson 5/65).
