Edinson Cavani, a striker for Valencia, appears likely to leave Estadio Mestalla this summer

(Football news) The crucial question is where he goes. The seasoned striker has a one-year contract with the Spanish team that runs through June 2024. He will have to work out a buyout with Los Che before leaving because no other team is apparently willing to take on his salary.

But he has a deadline for finishing it. Edinson Cavani has five days to decide on a new deal with Boca Juniors. Cavani has decided to join Boca Juniors, according to the French newspaper L’Equipe. However, the deal’s last details must be worked out by the player and the organisation. The Argentine squad will need him for their Copa Libertadores Round of 16 match against Nacional, according to the Spanish outlet Relevo.

He needs to sign up by Monday night in order to take part in the competition. It appears that their current impasse will be resolved soon if Cavani wants to make a deal. Even if Valencia now has a reason to complete the transaction quickly, he might still hold out until the last end.

Last year, Los Che ended just above the bottom of La Liga, and this summer, Justin Kluivert left the team. In the event that they also lose their leading scorer, they will undoubtedly be searching for a new striker to lead them in the upcoming season.

Previously, Cavani’s brother had disclosed that a settlement in the striker’s contract issue with Valencia was imminent. Furthermore, he expressed his desire that the former Napoli player joins the Argentine giants this summer.

“The termination of the contract with Valencia is being fixed. Although we want it to be done quickly, we’ll see how the Valencia thing ends and if he reaches an agreement with Boca.

“I have a good feeling that his arrival in Boca will be achieved. This time is different from the others. His return to South America is all more on track. Boca has a lot of history. I dream of seeing him with the shirt. I want him to arrive as much as the people who write to me. I’ve said it to him. I love that idea.”
