(Sports News) DafaNews has joined as the main sponsor of the Maharashtra Ironmen, a team owned by the Punit Balan Group, in the inaugural Premier Handball League (PHL). In accordance with the sponsorship agreement, DafaNews’ logo will be prominently featured on the front of the team’s jersey. Additionally, Oxyrich, a renowned packaged drinking water brand, will have its logo displayed on the back of the jersey.
Punit Balan, the Owner, Chairman & Managing Director of the Punit Balan Group, expressed gratitude for the support and sponsorship provided by DafaNews and Oxyrich. He warmly welcomed them as sponsors of the Maharashtra Ironmen and emphasized the team’s aim of delivering a strong performance in the tournament. Balan also highlighted the electrifying nature of handball, known as the fastest Olympic sport, and its ability to captivate fans.
The Punit Balan Group boasts an extensive sports ownership portfolio, consisting of nine teams across various sports leagues. Alongside the Maharashtra Ironmen in the Premier Handball League, the group owns teams such as Balan Alaskan Knights in the Global Chess League, Pune Jaguars in the Premier Tennis League, Mumbai Khiladis in the Ultimate Kho Kho, Bengaluru Smashers in the Ultimate Table Tennis, as well as teams in the Premier Badminton League and Pro Panja. Recently, the group ventured into cricket ownership with their inaugural team, the Kolhapur Tuskers, in the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL).
The Premier Handball League, in which the Maharashtra Ironmen are currently participating, is being held in Jaipur from June 8 to 23, 2023.
