Who comes in for whom in India’s 2nd T20I against England?

(Cricket news) India dismantled England in the 1st T20I with a 50-run victory. Now members of the Test team namely Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah will be back in the squad. Rahul Dravid and his coaching team will also take over from VVS Laxman, Arshdeep Singh who starred in his debut in the 1st match is not a part of the squad along with Ruturaj Gaikwad, Sanju Samson, Rahul Tripathi and Venkatesh Iyer. Some of the changes will be very bold and unfortunate for the players who will be dropped but it has to happen.

India's ideal playing XI-

Openers: Ishan Kishan & Rohit Sharma

Skipper Rohit Sharma will undoubtedly be in the side. Ishan Kishan is India's highest ranked T20I batter and is in very good form. Virat Kohli is the other option to open the batting but he is likely to bat at number 3. Kishan being a left hander is also an added advantage.

Middle order: Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant & Dinesh Karthik

Deepak Hooda is in very good form and has been scoring runs. Even though he hasn't bowled recently he is a good option but Virat Kohli is Virat Kohli. Even though he has been having a very long and dry spell with the bat, a player like him is just one knock away from getting back in form. Rishabh Pant has just played two incredible knocks for India in the Test match. He hasn't been in good form in the T20I but Rahul Dravid has said that he is pretty much in the plans being a left hander in the middle order. He is still a capable batter in the shortest format. Suryakumar Yadav played a good knock in the first match and it would be very unfortunate for him to be dropped but it looks like it would have to be done. Dinesh Karthik will have to keep his place in the side purely because he is the designated finisher. Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Hooda are the other options.

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja

When fit and available these are two of India's best allrounders. Pandya proved in the last game that he still has what it takes to deliver with both ball and bat. Ravindra Jadeja is just fresh from a Test hundred against England. Even though he didn't have the best of IPL campaigns, Jadeja undoubtedly deserves a place in the squad.

Seamers: Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah

Arshdeep Singh is likely to be replaced by Jasprit Bumrah who just captained the Test team. He is India's leading bowler in all formats and his inclusion is a no brainer. Harshal Patel is a death over specialist and his partnership with Bumrah at the death will be interesting to watch. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will look to work his magic once again with the new ball. Avesh Khan and Umran Malik are the other options.

Spinner: Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal is the lead spinner in the side but this time he will be bowling with Ravindra Jadeja. Ravi Bishnoi is also a good option to have but Chahal is very lethal especially in overseas conditions as he proved in the last match.

Bench: Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Umran Malik
