(Cricket news) An unbeaten half-century from Stephen Doheny helped Ireland Men to victory in their opening warm-up match ahead of the T20 World Cup against Randwick Petersham Cricket Club at the Coogee Oval in Sydney.
Player of the Match Doheny scored 65* off 54 balls in an assured innings, which followed a diligent bowling display by the Irish attack – with Gareth Delany (2-10) and Barry McCarthy (2-11) the pick of the bowling group. Ireland will face an SCG XI at the Coogee Oval tomorrow, October 5, at 1pm (local time), 3am (Irish time).
