(Cricket news) After an enthralling Test match, India and England now prepare for the 3 match T20I series. The 1st match will be played at Rose Bowl in Southampton. India will be playing under the leadership of coach VVS Laxman as Rahul Dravid will take over from the 2nd T20I. These are exciting times for the England red ball side and the Barmy Army will be hoping that the excitement inspires the white ball team as well. This series will be an incredible preparation for both the teams for the upcoming T20I World Cup.
India's possible playing XI:
Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, Yuzvendra Chahal.
Bench: Ruturaj Gaekwad, Sanju Samson, Rahul Tripathi, Venkatesh Iyer, Ravi Bishnoi, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik
Rohit Sharma will be back to lead the side for the first time since the IPL. After his man of the series performance against Ireland, focus will be on Deepak Hooda who might have to make way for Virat Kohli and/or Rishabh Pant after this match. The 3 seamers will also face a similar situation as one of them will have to make way for Jasprit Bumrah. In KL Rahul's absence Ishan Kishan will be getting a longer run in the team and he will be looking to continue his incredible international form.
England's possible playing XI:
Jos Buttler, Jason Roy, Dawid Malan, Harry Brook, Liam Livingston, Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Chris Jordan, David Willey, Reece Topley, Tymal Mills
Bench: Richard Gleeson, Matthew Parkinson, Phil Salt
This will be Jos Buttler's first match as full time white ball captain. The biggest strength of this England side is the amount of bowling options that they have. They have 7 very good bowling options at their disposal which is a very big asset not just in this series but going forward as well. Buttler and Liam Livingston had amazing IPL campaigns and they will now be looking to transform the form into the international scene against bowlers they have faced in the IPL.
England definitely go into the series as favourites especially in the first match. It will be interesting to see how India and Rohit Sharma cope with the challenge. The weather forecast is pretty good as it is expected to be clear with no rain. The Rose Bowl is usually a high scoring ground which will provide a little bit of movement to seamers. The battle between Rajasthan Royals teammates Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal will be exciting to watch if it happens.
