India look to seal the T20I series against West Indies at the Eden Gardens

(Cricket news) India will take on the West Indies in the 2nd T20I at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. After winning the 1st T20I comfortably by 6 wickets, India will be looking to seal the series. West Indies have had a disappointing tour so far as they haven't won a single game. The Windies will be hoping to put in a better performance and level the series.

India's Possible Playing XI:
Rohit Sharma(c), Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant(wk), Venkatesh Iyer, Deepak Chahar, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi.

Bench: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Hooda, Avesh Khan, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer.

India is likely to go unchanged in the game despite the amount of talent sitting on the bench. The pitch at the Eden Gardens isn't that suitable for quicker bowlers which is why Mohammed Siraj and Avesh Khan might not get an opportunity. The combination of the side is working really well at the moment as Harshal Patel and Deepak Chahar's big hitting power compensates for the absence of a proper All-rounder at number 7.

West Indies possible playing XI:
Brandon King, Kyle Meyers, Romario Shepherd, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Roman Powell, Jason Holder, Fabian Allen, Odean Smith, Roston Chase, Sheldon Cottrell.

Bench: Darren Bravo, Dominic Drakes, Shai Hope, Hayden Walsh Jr, Akeal Hossein.

Roston Chase was a forced change in the last game but his performance was more than enough to keep him in the side. If Jason Holder is fit he has to come into the side in which case Akeal Hossein could be the one to miss out. Jason Holder could be bumped up the order as he is the best player of spin in the squad and the two Indian wrist spinners are in excellent form.

The Windies need to take advantage of their batting depth and keep the score board ticking. There is too much depth in their batting for the top and middle order to play conservatively. India on the other hand ticked all the major boxes in the game. If Rohit Sharma does win the toss he may be looking to bat first to try and put some pressure on his batters to score big in the first innings.
