India and Bangladesh gear up for massive Group 2 clash in Adelaide

(Cricket news) After losing their last game against South Africa, India gear up for a must win game against Bangladesh. The men in blue will be hoping to bounce back because they cannot afford to lose any of their two remaining games. Rain could play a part in this game which would be catastrophic for both sides. The two sides haven't played a single international game since 2019. The match will be played at the Adelaide Oval which is a usually a batting friendly pitch where the toss winning captain will definitely look to bat first.

India's possible playing XI:

Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh

Bench:

Dinesh Karthik, Harshal Patel, Deepak Hooda, Yuzvendra Chahal

Karthik is likely to miss out due to the injury he suffered in the last game and Pant is the obvious candidate to come in. India's move of bringing in Hooda for Axar backfired in the last game and Rohit Sharma should revert back to left hander. Coach Rahul Dravid has confirmed that Rahul will continue to be backed despite a poor run of form. India need to make sure that they don't suffer another batting collapse.

Bangladesh possible playing XI:

Najmul Hossain Shanto, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Afif Hossain, Yasir Ali, Mosaddek Hossain, Nurul Hasan (wk), Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed

Bench:

Nasum Ahmed , Ebadot Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Bangladesh don't have any reason to make any changes. Najmul Hossain Shanto comes into the game having played a match winning innings against Zimbabwe, he will be very key for Bangladesh. The pace duo of Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman will be looking to cause trouble for the Indian batters. Skipper Shakib Al Hasan will also play a very important role in this side.
