The Mardyke will be the epicentre of what promises to be a spectacular weekend of cricket. It is also incredible for Cork County CC, a historic club in their 150th year to be playing host to both finals.”

Rob Duggan, Committee member at Cork County CC:

“The selection of the Mardyke as the venue for both the ISC (Irish Senior Cup) and NC (National Cup) Finals is a tremendous honour for the club, coinciding perfectly with our 150th anniversary celebrations. Hosting these finals helps elevate Cork County’s national profile within the Irish club scene while also showcasing the club’s facilities and iconic ground which remains in wonderful condition due to the continued hard work of 2024 Groundsman of the Year Matt Reed and his team. It also provides a boost to the local game by having these prestigious matches played at the Mardyke. It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase the club game at its highest level, potentially attracting new players and growing the game at the grassroots. Finally, it’s a chance to not only celebrate our rich heritage with the wider Irish cricketing community but simultaneously act as a springboard for continued growth and contribution to the club game here.”
